The file

One long file: year × country × headcount. This copy has Poland, Germany, the United States, and the world from 1960. Source and licence sit on the same JSON.

The indicator

SP.POP.TOTL is a mid-year stock, not a growth rate. For pace open Population growth; for family and cities see Fertility and Urban population.

What the numbers show

The world went from ~3.0bn to ~8.2bn. Poland 29.6m → 36.4m, but the stock is no longer rising on births alone. The US still grows (181m → 342m). Read with Net migration.
